This Privacy Policy explains how Chari Academy ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use chariacademy.org (the "Platform"), including as a student, guardian, instructor, or administrator.
Account information: name, email address, phone number, and role (student, guardian,
instructor, staff) provided during registration or enrollment.
Profile content: a profile photo, if you choose to upload one.
Academic data: course enrollments, progress, completed materials, assignment
submissions, results, and certificates issued.
Payment information: when you purchase a course, payment is processed directly by our
payment partners (Stripe or PayPal). We do not store your card number or full payment
details on our servers — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference
number.
We use the information above to: provide access to purchased courses and live classes; track and display your learning progress; issue certificates of completion; send account, enrollment, and payment-related notifications; respond to support requests; and maintain the security of the Platform.
We use session cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cart. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish real visitors from bots on our login and registration forms. We do not use these cookies for third-party advertising.

We retain account and academic data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations. Uploaded files are validated and stored with generated filenames rather than the names you upload them with, as one of several safeguards against malicious files.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at info@chariacademy.org. Guardians may request the same on behalf of a linked student account.
The Platform supports guardian accounts specifically so that a parent or guardian can manage and oversee a minor student's enrollment, progress, and account. If you are a guardian and believe a student account was created without your consent, contact studentsupport@chariacademy.org.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
